There are many haunted lighthouse locations across the world and some people in these specific regions will advocate greatly over the true testament of the existing spirit in the lighthouse. Even though there are people who do not believe in ghosts, visiting a haunted lighthouse or just reading its story can become a rather chill-giving experience without even believing in its reality. The fact is that there have been numerous stories attached to various lighthouses, due to the unusual events taking place in or around them and which have introduced them in the haunted lighthouse category.
The haunted lighthouse in Bakers Island, Salem Harbour, Massachusetts, for example still generates a shock in the community. The lighthouse apparently turns on and off by itself. One of the most interesting stories related to this haunted lighthouse is that in 1898, while a reunion of the former light keepers ended on the island, the lighthouse started its sound and light systems for fog. The ferry, on which the people returned, was caught in a storm and all but one of the keepers died. The Bird Island Light, Sippican Harbour, Massachusetts is another location for a haunted lighthouse. The first keeper William “Billy” Moore and his wife, Sarah, lived here. One day, Billy rose the distress flag and all the residents came to see what the trouble was. Instead of finding problems on the waters, they found Sarah dead. Billy was suspected of killing her and he left the region. Since then, the ghost of Sarah has been seen by other keepers and fishermen around the haunted lighthouse and on the coastal lines.
There are many more haunted lighthouse stories and locations in the world. Some of them are accompanied by terrible stories and others by pure mystery. The accidents, tragic deaths and traumatic events have always been the supposed causes of various instances and have generated the apparition of numerous stories. The haunted lighthouse stories people chose to believe is at their own will, as some people swear to have seen the life-less forms, while others deny them completely and refuse accepting proving facts from the others.
